TUITION RATES for
2010-2011
*Supporting parishioner’s rate applies to
families registered in the parish who donate a minimum of $20 per week
using Sunday envelopes (excluding the building fund). The Sunday
collection subsidizes the school budget. Parish support is verified
quarterly. Those not meeting the minimum requirements are changed to Non
Supporting/Our of Parish Rate. Families new to Sacred Heart Parish need a
verification of support letter from their previous parish in order to
receive supporting tuition rates. Sunday Mass attendance is expected.
Payment Options
The first tuition payment for all plans is
due by April 30th. There will be a $20 per month late fee if it is not
received by that time. Tuition for the remainder of the school year is due
on the 1st of each month. The late fee for tuition received after the 6th
of the month is $20. Tuition and Registration fees for new school families
are due at the time of acceptance.
Option 1—The 10 month plan will have #2-10
payments due the first of each month Sept. 2010-May 2011.
Option 2—The 12 month plan tuition.
Payments #2-12 are due the first of each month July 2010– May 2011.
Option 3—Pay in full by Book Day, August
2010.
Payment of tuition may be made with case
or checks.*
Tuition and fees are non-refundable.

NEW STUDENTS
–
ALL new students must present birth &
baptismal certificates. Kindergarten students must be 5 by Sept. 1,
2010. All new students making an initial entrance into Sacred Heart
must present certificates of immunization and health form as
required by the Dept. of Health & Rehabilitative Services. This is due by
August 1st.
NEW STUDENT ACCEPTANCE–
All new students applying for grades K-8
must be tested before acceptance. Cost of the test is $15 (grades K-8)
payable at the time of the test. New school families will be
notified by mail of acceptance.
***Immunization Requirements for
Kindergarten and Grade 7***
Students in both grades have required
boosters/immunizations due at this time. Please schedule an appointment
with your physician to meet these requirements. Your physician will
provide you with a new immunization card which must be turned in by August
1st. Students may not return to school until a new card is
submitted reflecting the required immunizations/boosters.
BOOKS-
Books must be purchased. New text &
workbooks will be available on “Book Day” - Thursday, August 5th.
A list of the books that will be discontinued for the next school year
will be available at the end of May. The school doesn’t handle the sale
of used books, but we urge you to purchase used textbooks in good
condition from school families BEFORE Book Day in August.
In previous years there has been a used book sale organized by school
parents at the end of the school year so check the May school calendar for
specifics. School book drop off day will be Sunday, August 8th from 1-3
p.m. The First Day of school will be Wednesday, August 11th.
UNIFORMS -
Uniforms may be purchased from Fontaine
Apparel. Fontaine will come to school several times each year or orders
may be placed online at www.fontaineapparel.com; our online account code
is #120. Used uniforms may be purchased from the parish Thrift Shop.
Please note the following items may no longer be worn: red or blue
sweaters and white blouses. The gray logo sweatshirt and white polo
shirts are required beginning the 2010-2011 school year.
LITTLE HEARTS -- PRE-K PROGRAM (must be 4
years old by Sept. 1, 2010)
SACRED
HEART CATHOLIC SCHOOL is in the process of applying for a Voluntary
Pre-Kindergarten for the 2010-2011 school year. The State of Florida
Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten-4 Program will pay for only 540 hours of
instruction during the school year. Sacred Heart Catholic School provides
approximately 60 hours of additional instruction during the school year.
Therefore, there will be a fee of $250, payable in one installment, due at
the time of acceptance (non-refundable). This fee applies to all
Pre-Kindergarten-4 students whether they have or have not qualified for
the State of Florida Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten-4 Program. If you choose
not to pay this fee you will be withdrawing your child from Sacred Heart
Catholic School at the end of the 540 hours of the State of Florida
Voluntary Pre-K-4 Program. Sacred Heart Catholic School is pleased to
offer your child a 4 year old readiness program. This program is designed
to provide a safe, enjoyable environment for your child. It operates from
8:00 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. It is not open when school is not in session.
An Extended Day program is available from 11:30 A.M.—2:30 P.M. on a full
time basis only. Children in Extended Day bring a lunch from home each
day.
REQUIREMENTS
Children must be 4 years old by Sept. 1,
2010. Copies of Birth & Baptismal Certificates are required and should be
submitted with registration. Certificates of Immunization and Health
Forms, as required by the Florida Dept. of Health & Rehabilitative
Services, must also be submitted by Book Day, August 5th. All students
must be potty trained—no Pull-ups or diapers allowed.

The $250.00 fee is required at the time of
acceptance and is non-refundable. Tuition is divided into 10 payments and
is to be paid by the 1st of each month—The 1st installment for those
students staying for extended day is due by April 30th. Installments #2
through #10 are due September through May. A late fee of $20.00 is added
for tuition received after the 5th of the month. Payments are sent back
to school in the provided envelope marked “Little Hearts”.
PROTECTIVE CARE
Students not picked up by 20 minutes after
School dismissal (ex: School dismissed at 2:45 students go to Protective
Care at 3:05 or School dismissed at 1 pm go to Protective Care at 1:20)
will be put into Protective Care, located in the Hall, small room on the
left. The cost is $2.00 for every 15 minutes and is payable at time of
pickup.
AFTER SCHOOL
CARE
A non-refundable registration fee of
$50.00 per student or $75.00 per family is required. After School Care
tuition is to be paid by the 1st of each month. A late fee of $15.00 will
be added for tuition payments received after the 10th of the month.
